Two days after this match, Dunfermline's long-serving captain Norrie McCathie died, and the original owner has written on the cover in blue ink: 'Norrie McCathie's last ever game for the Pars before his tragic death.' The annotation marks the cover, but it also records exactly why this ordinary away programme became something more. A quiet, poignant piece of Dunfermline history.
